First half 2021: record results
Rimadesio’s growth trend reaches double digits. Despite the macroeconomic context penalized by the COVID-19 emergency, the company led by Davide and Luigi Malberti files the first half of 2021 with 36.8 million orders, up +34% compared to 2020 and +17% compared to 2019. This is the best half-year result ever, achieved thanks to the increase in the domestic market, with +12% orders compared to 2019, and +21% international orders compared to 2019. Developing personalized, high-performing and sustainable solutions is the primary objective of Rimadesio, which this year presents to the market the ninth sliding system of the collection: Maxi, design Giuseppe Bavuso.
“Signals from the market are very encouraging, despite the exceptional nature of the period that makes it complex to formulate long-term forecasts,” said Luigi Malberti, CFO Rimadesio.”Today we are rewarded by some far-sighted choices, such as investments in computerized 4.0 machineries; a production cycle with low environmental impact powered by solar energy; the use of recycled and recyclable materials such as glass and aluminum, but above all a 90% Italian supply chain, 71% of which is located in Lombardy, with zero-kilometer processing that exceeds 60%.”
The constant growth in sales volumes has led to a direct increase in the workforce. In recent years, employees have increased from 189 (in 2018) to 230 (in 2019) to 257 (June 2021), with an expansion in both production departments and office staff.
MONOBRAND In 2021, with a view to a further distribution development, new monobrand stores are scheduled to open in the USA (Houston and Chicago), China (Wuxi), Spain (Murcia), India (Ahmedabad), Switzerland (Bern) and Taiwan (Taipei). The opening of the third Rimadesio flagship store – directly managed by the Company – is expected for winter 2021/2022. After the spaces in Milan and London, the company chooses New York to open a new showroom of 600 square meters dedicated to sales, consulting, and interior design. The space will be located at 102 Madison Avenue, NoMad district, in the heart of Manhattan.
