Casa Italia in London
On Buckingham Gate, just a few steps from Buckingham Palace, Casa Italia is ushering in a new era for Italy’s presence in the United Kingdom. The complex encompasses the Embassy of Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the Italian Trade Agency, intertwining efficiency, sustainability, and cultural identity. The spaces, redesigned by Nick Vinson, reflect the quality of Italian design and host a selection of modern and contemporary artworks, creating an ideal setting for representation and interaction.
In the Sala Piccola, Rimadesio provided the Velaria sliding door system, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso.
The fibra bronzo glass modulates the light, while the piombo finishing strikes the perfect balance between the materials. The system defines the space with geometric rigour and precision, contributing to a harmonious project that perfectly encapsulates Made in Italy excellence.
