Rimadesio closed 2021 with orders that exceeded 70 million euros. This is the best result ever achieved in the history of the brand, which exceeds by 14% the record sales volume reached in 2018 (61.6 million).
The numbers underline the solidity of the company, which has been able to recover and exceed the pre-Covid19 growth trend despite the difficulties in sourcing raw materials, the increase in the related purchase costs and energy.

On the distribution side, there has been a consolidation of the export share, reaching 63% of the total: Germany, Switzerland and Austria confirm themselves as the fastest-growing European markets (with orders increased by 40%, 60% and 55% compared to 2018). With a view to further commercial development, Rimadesio is about to inaugurate new showrooms in Frankfurt (March 31) and Bern (April 28) in collaboration with selected local distributors.

Outside the European Union, the United States is well performing: +24% compared to 2018, with a further consolidated distribution thanks to the opening of a new showroom in Chicago and the new flagship store in New York which will be inaugurated next May, during the NYC Design Week. The exclusive 600 square meters space will be located at 102 Madison Avenue. The Chinese market is increasingly strategic too: in 2022 Rimadesio will open new stores in Ningbo, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Taizhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Dongguan, in addition to Wuxi (opened last February).

INVESTMENTS 4.0 AND SUSTAINABILITY
For 2022 Rimadesio has approved an investment plan of 2 million euros dedicated to the installation and updating of highly computerized machinery able to meet the growing demands for automation and production efficiency.
In addition to the renewal of the aluminum processing plants with the activation of new numerical control 4.0 machines, the company has equipped itself with a brand new plant for the purification and recycling of wastewater derived from glass processing, with the aim of drastically reducing water consumption and the related industrial discharge.

The new closed-cycle system includes a micro-filtering activity which allows water to be reused in the same working processes, with constant quality control according to maximum safety criteria.
In this way Rimadesio is able to save 13,000 liters of water per day, with a use of water resources that stands at less than 70 liters per day (0.5% of the previous daily consumption). This new machinery is part of the ambitious project that Rimadesio has been pursuing for 15 years, based on continuous investment in favor of a more sustainable environment. Rimadesio’s ecological challenge is centered on constant research and innovation. A green approach shared at all company levels that can be summed up in precise numbers.

CORPORATE WELFARE AND GREEN MOBILITY
Also for 2022 Rimadesio confirms the activation of the corporate welfare plan. Compared to the previous year, the amount of the bonus has been doubled for each employee hired on permanent, fixed-term and apprenticeship, with the aim of further promoting family and personal wellbeing while increasing spending power. Moreover, the company provides an additional monthly bonus to each employee who travels to work by electric car, on foot, by bicycle, e-bike or who adopts green habits, aimed at reducing urban traffic and polluting emissions. Employees can also recharge their electric/hybrid cars free of charge, by connecting to the charging stations installed in the company parking lot. The charging stations are powered by solar energy produced by the company’s photovoltaic system.
