BIENNALE DI VENEZIA 2025, PARK ASSOCIATI
Rimadesio supports Resourceful Intelligence, the installation designed by Park Associati (parkassociati.com) for the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Carlo Ratti and dedicated to the theme “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective”. This project addresses a crucial question for the future of architecture: how can we build today while drastically reducing the use of raw materials?

For Rimadesio, Resourceful Intelligence means strengthening a vision of sustainability as a concrete responsibility, based on innovation, circularity and smart processes. This vision translates into measurable actions every day: production powered by renewable sources, use of recyclable materials, water-soluble paints, limited consumption, and a development model that prioritises people and the land.

Palazzo Missori

Hotel Michelangelo
The installation, developed in collaboration with Accurat and the Polytechnic University of Milan, proposes a paradigm shift: design that starts from reuse and selective deconstruction. It consists of two large vertical structures and a video. The first structure is a reclaimed glass facade, obtained from the disused windows of Palazzo Missori, a Milanese building from the 1930s. The panels, which were no longer compliant, were re-cast on textured steel moulds by 6:AM to create a new decorative surface: a symbol of transformation and the aesthetic value of recycled materials.
The second wall is made of clinker tiles recovered from the Hotel Michelangelo, an iconic building from Milan’s post-war reconstruction. Dismantled in a controlled and selective way, the tiles now form part of a contemporary facade prototype that enhances their texture, durability and memories.
The installation is completed by a video and a dynamic digital map, created by Accurat based on data from the Politecnico di Milano, which explains the urban distribution of the recovered materials. Milan is thus presented as an “urban mine”, where the existing elements become a resource for the future.
