RIMADESIO RENEWS ITS COMMITMENT TO AURORA DESIO AND THE LOMBARDIA CUP.

The 14th edition of the Rimadesio Lombardia Cup was held on 13 and 14 September 2025. The classic basketball tournament featured four leading Serie A1 and A2 teams: Pallacanestro Varese, Pallacanestro Cantù, Vanoli Cremona, and Gruppo Mascio Bergamo. This well-established event on the national sports scene was organised by Pallacanestro Aurora Desio with the support of Rimadesio, the event’s main sponsor. The latest edition reached a new level of prestige, competition and interest, and saw Cantù claim the cup.

Named in memory of Francesco Malberti, founder of Rimadesio and a passionate supporter of local basketball, the event is a tribute to the value of sport as an educational, formative, and unifying force for good. The tournament represents an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between business, sport and the local community, offering fans a high-quality spectacle.

Rimadesio has also renewed its official sponsorship of Pallacanestro Aurora Desio for the 31st consecutive year, continuing a collaboration that began in 1994. For the 2025–2026 season, the team will play in the National Serie B championship under the technical direction of new coach Daniele Quilici.
